Math Camp is an optional, immersive three-week summer program designed to introduce life as a college student and a thorough academic review of concepts from Math 119. During the three-week summer program, participants will be introduced to resources, people, and programs that will support them in their academic progress, boost co-curricular engagement, and encourage community building. Students will meet faculty, staff, and student leaders who are eager to support the transition to college and be successful at UT. Math Camp has a participant cap of 120 students.
Students who participate in Math Camp will enhance their math proficiency and develop a foundation for critical thinking. As a college student, critical thinking relates to nearly all tasks, situations, topics, careers, environments, challenges, and opportunities. While credit is not awarded for participating in the summer program, the program promotes an opportunity to build connections with peers, strengthen mathematic competency and critical thinking, and gain a head start navigating the college experience.Math Camp registration for Summer 2020 is closed
